Corporate Social Responsibility
Modern society is dependent upon oil and natural gas. Cities are unable to support themselves and flourish on their own, without the constant movement of people and goods. Natural gas is used to heat households in a large part of the world. Oil is used as an ingredient in everything from plastics, tires, rubber boots, cleaning supplies and even medicine.
We consider it important to supply these essential resources in a responsible manner. To that end, we have committed ourselves to obey Russian environmental regulations, which are both broad in scope and complex in terms of water usage, pollution, emissions, toxic waste management, land rehabilitation, as well as health and safety measures for personnel. It is our policy to live up to the environmental and safety requirements in place where we operate. Our goal is to set an example in the way we minimise environmental risks in our exploration programme.
Shelton Petroleum assumes a social responsibility in the regions where it operates. We at Shelton Petroleum and our partners have contributed to a number of organisations and causes since our inception, including:
- UNESCO in Bashkiria
- financial support for the Duvansky Agricultural Union, the Young Naturalists' Society, and more
- purchasing furniture for a local orphanage and donating to the local sanitorium for children suffering from tbc
